Captain America finds a mysterious woman in a pod below Jamaica Bay- could this young lady be the X-Men’s long-lost Marvel Girl?

The Fantastic Four returns to Earth from a long eventfull trip to space.

Upon their return they had learned that the Avengers had found a mysterious capsule at the bottom of Jamaica Bay.

The Avengers ask Reed Richards to try to figure out this strange capsule that had given them so much trouble to retrieve. Sue Richards uses her powers to make the object invisible, and they see a woman inside.

Reed works all night trying to find a way to release the woman inside, when suddenly she emerges. It is Jean Grey and she still thinks she is piloting the ship headed toward Earth.

After things calm down and Jean is informed about the happenings while she was gone, and Reed gives a call to an old friend.
